Edwardian Jumper Dress

From the seller:

Fine Edwardian Black Beaded Asian Inspired Dress

This is in very good condition with some wear on the lower front tabs that have the buttons on them and there is one mend in the skirt. The crocheted buttons and beading are all excellent. This probably dates from between 1905 and 1912 and the design was taken from the Asian /"kimono"-inspired wider shoulder detail. Would have been worn with a blouse/waist of the same or a constrasting color. Also has the black velvet bow for the back. Weighs just over one pound. Measurements:
Skirt from waist to bottom of hem is 39"
Waist: 23"
Not sure how to measure the bust.

From Me:

This is fabulous! I see these in drawings all the time from that period - either as fashion plates or in the good ole Sears catalog- but I don't recall seeing an extant one before. It's a great piece!
