Purple Bustle Dress

From the seller:

A stunning 1880’s rich purple velvet bustled traveling dress. The bodice is hip length and has a front button closure. There are faux pocket flaps on each hip. It is lined with gold satin. The front of the skirt has a wide panel of knife pleating. The skirt hemline has two rows of knife pleating. The back of the skirt has a draped bustled panel. The skirt is lined with cotton. The dress is in very good condition. There are no holes or splits in the fabric. There is a faint line of underarm discoloration on the inside lining. The front buttons are original but the back buttons are replacements. There is a faint mark of buttons on the front of the jacket where there was probably another row of buttons. A very beautiful display dress. Bust 34 Waist 26 Skirt length 42.
