Teens Era Summer Lace Gown

From the seller:

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING:

This is a fabulous Edwardian lady's dress or gown. This gown has a lace over dress and silk under dress. Both are a soft white color. The over dress is made entirely of lace netting with embroidered work. The front center of the over dress has rows of netting with little dots flanked by inserts of embroidered net lace. The lower skirt is made up of two rows of embroidered scalloped edge ruffled netting. The entire over dress, including the sleeves, is decorated with hard, round, lace covered, heavily padded rosettes simulating flowers with petals. Short sleeves of netting with an insert of embroidered net tulle and rosettes. The backside has two tails of embroidered netting decorated with rosettes. The photos will show this off better than I can describe it. The silk under dress is sleeveless with lace along the armhole edge. There are sewn in stays to the silk under dress. Both the net lace over dress and silk under dress close on the backside with hooks and eyes and/or hooks and loops. It is in remarkable condition. Just lovely!! Please read condition and measurements below and look at all of the photos as they are part of the description.

Condition: Overall condition is fabulous. There are minimal tiny holes in the net tulle with no tears or real damage to the dress (which I find amazing). I found a repair to the front bodice lace where it meets a seam. I would redo the repair, but not bad as is. There may be a few minor seam separations where the lace meets the netting. I have looked this over as carefully as possible, so I may have missed something. There is a hole about 1/4 in. on the netting under the skirt's first layer of ruffles which cannot be seen unless you lift the ruffle. There is a repair to the bottom ruffle. Looks like there was a vertical tear and was mended. Not noticeable because there is way too much going on with this fabulous dress! This could also have been a seam in the ruffle. Sorry, ran out of photo space to show you, but not bad. The silk lining looks very good with just a few pin head size holes or smaller. There are some missing hooks and eyes on the backside. Some missing hooks or loops. Some of the petals of the rosettes have loosened and just hang. These just need to be clipped. The dress has been gently laundered and is free of stains. I have not ironed the dress. The silk under dress is wrinkled and will need ironing. Some of the photos appear to have some yellowing or is darker than in reality due to lighting when photographed. Again, poor lighting. Photo #1 is more true in color. No odor. My home is smoke-free. While I have made every attempt to disclose condition as accurately as possible I encourage you to look at all of the photos so that you can form your own opinion of condition.
