This top most likely dates from the late Edwardian period of 1908-1910. It is in excellent condition, and I believe that it was never worn. It still doesn't have any fasteners (hooks and eyes or buttons) on the top.
The collar and cuffs are made of a delicate paper thin mauve silk. The silk is intact and without any stains or shattering. There are just 2 or 3 tiny holes on the collar around the neck.
The floral print fabric has a horizontal 'crinkled' texture that is similar to a seersucker material. The fabric isn't synthetic. I'm not sure if it is 100% silk, cotton, or a blend of the 2 fibers.
As you can see in the close-up of the hem on the front of the top, there is a hole that is about 1/8" in size and some brown spots that range in size from 1/4" to 1". These spots would be hidden when the hem is tucked into a skirt. There are also 6-10 small brown specks on the left front of the top and one on the back of the left sleeve. All of the blemishes really are minor and do not detract from the overall quality of a piece of clothing that is over 100 years old!
The top is free of dryrot, shattering, perspiration stains, and bad smells. I have taken close-ups of the armpits to show the great shape of the material. The top doesn't have a standard size so I have taken some measurements to help determine a proper fit. The flat bust measurement is 18". The waist is 24". The length from the shoulder to the waist is 16". The length from the shoulder to the hem is 23". The sleeve measures 12" from the shoulder seam to the cuff. Don't miss your chance to bid!

I want to place this a lot later, like 1916 or so. The sleeve length and the neckline just don't look 1908-1910 to me.
