What to wear in the winter during the 1890's

From the seller:

Vintage 1890's dark green wool floor length coat with huge leg-of-mutton pleated sleeves and large cuffs. Double breasted with 6 large buttons. Princess seams, back has 6 panels with pleats at the waist. Large side pockets. The coat is lined on the top half in black silk. Large wide collar. There are a few very tiny barely noticeable moth holes and buttonhole thread is a bit frayed, overall wonderful condition. 34" bust, 30" waist, 55" from back neck to bottom hem.

From Me:

I really like the cuff detail on this one. A nice pretty green coat with sleeves of doom!
