This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1929 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before a time my Great Aunts can remember. :-) I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes.

Fabulous Titanic Era Black Lace Dress
From the seller:
Vintage / ANtique black net & lace DRESS. Measures 17"from armpit to armpit. 14" across the waist seam. The total length is 49". This has some tears and repairs in the usual place (armpit, lower hem, etc), The inner lining also has some tears, and a few of the hook/eyes need repaired, lace is in great condition w/ minimal damage, This would be a great display peice or could be wearable with some TLC, for sure a Rare Find!! . Please see my other dresses for discounts on combined shipping
From Me:
This is probably from closer to the mid teens but some of the elements would be the same for about 1912. I'm guessing 1914 for this beauty.
