Wild Decorations on this Bustle Era Outfit

From the seller:

BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN FOR ALL THE MANY PHOTOS. This auction is for an original 1880s VERY DETAILED Victorian two piece bustle gown dress. Two types of fabric is used to create this gorgeous gown, a dark rose taupe (not quite as pink as my photos) very soft lightweight possibly cashmere wool and steel grey medium weight cotton chintz. The detailing is very extensive including the lovely and so very many cylinder dangline buttons that are everywhere on the bodice. The brown buckram lined 8 stayed bodice has a very interesting construction, a short built in waist band. Designed with the placket having short smocked areas in between narrow vertical tucks - The barrel passementerie surrounds the narrow mandarin collar and is down both sides - each of these dangling pieces are individually attached. Slender silhouette long sleeves that are quite decorated including 2.5" ecru lace that I believe is most likely handmade. Even the cuffs have the dangling barrels. The fully lined very billowy draped and pleated bustled skirt is even more opulent than the lovely bodice. Skirt has a front panel with wide upwards tucks and a wide draping panel. As you will see in the photos, each side is different each being just as beautiful as the other. Right side has graduating from the hem and upwards being a large pyramid shape with 3.25" individual arrow tabs layered on each other along with a barrel dangling from each point; the left side has two very large rosettes at the hips that top vertical rows of narrow tucks and a solid wide panel. The bustle overskirt back panel could be fuller in the back, a more protruding bustle than I have photoed. The hemline is bordered with an underskirt of box pleats. Approx measurements are 34" bust, 25" bust and 38" from top of waistband to hem in the front and back. In very very good condition, both types of fabric are very sound, there is a very few tiny holes in the wool and some minimal marks. This is a superb displaying gown and if you are forunate enough to be petite, it is outstanding. Truly a spectacular gown. You will not be disappointed. Happy Bidding!

From Me:

This is completely wild in terms of decorations.  It has ruffles, fringe, lace, scales, tucks, gathers -name it, it's on it.
