American Civil War Era Bodice

From the seller:

A magnificent and elaborate 1860’s Civil War era stripe multi colored satin evening bodice that has recently been de-accessioned from a museum collection. The cataloging number is written inside the bodice. The fabric has a changeable quality depending on light reflection. The stripes are done in shads of steel blue, black and royal blue and are intermingled with a white stripe. The white stripe has a red, green and black pattern. The bodice has a Bertha style collar that is trimmed with two rows of multi colored silk fringe. The bodice has short puffed sleeves. It is lined with cotton and the lining has two padded bust enhancements. The round neckline, armscyes and waist are piped. The bodice has a back lacing closure but the lacing is missing. It is in very good and sturdy condition. There are no splits or holes and just very light underarm discoloration on the inside lining only. Bust 32 Waist 26.

From Me:

The silk itself is so neat looking and colorful!
