Post American Civil War Era Dress

From the seller:

A fetching 1860’s Civil War era taupe silk dress that has recently been de-accessioned from a museum collection. The bodice has a wide hip peplum. The shoulder, sleeve cuffs and back center peplum are decorated with pleated ruffles. The neck and armscyes are piped. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a front button closure. The skirt hemline is trimmed with pleated ruffles and ruching. The skirt is lined with cotton. The dress is in very good display condition. There are no splits or holes in the silk fabric. There is some mild underarm discoloration, fraying of the skirt waistband and missing section on the waistband and some splitting in the skirt lining mostly along the edge of the hemline. Bust 34 Waist 26 Front skirt length 39 Back length 44 Width at hemline 136

From Me:

Based upon the way the back of the bodice is and the trim lines, I'm thinking more 1867 give or take a year.
