For the 1900th post, I give you a lovely 1920's Dress

From the seller:

THE FLAPPER DRESSES FROM THE 1920S THAT ARE IN COLOR ARE RARE. SO MANY OF THEM ARE BLACK. THIS ONE HAS A BEAUTIFUL DESIGN IN LIGHT PURPLE AND BLACK. THE DRESS IS MADE OF ALTERNATING SECTIONS OF LACE EMBELISSHED LAVENDER COLORED SILK AND BLACK LACE SECTIONS. THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT VINTAGE. PLEASE SEE THE CONDITION REPORT ABOVE. THE DRESS IS A SMALL SIZE. THE MEASUREMENTS TAKEN LAID FLAT ARE: BUST: 17", WAIST 18 1/2", HIPS 24", AND THE LENGTH OF THE DRESS FROM THE NECK TO THE HEMLINE IS 47". THE DRESS COMES WITH IT'S ORIGINAL PURE SILK UNDER DRESS AND A VERY LONG LAVENDER COLORED MATCHING SILK WITH A BLACK SILK CONTRAST. THE SASH/SCARF MEASURES 108" LONG. THE DRESS NEEDS TO BE STEAMED. I DARED NOT TOUCH IT WITH AN IRON. PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.

The black lace at the neckline edges shows a tiny bit of fraying, and there is one separation of the lace from the edge at the side of the neck. I found two "pin holes" very tiny in the purple silk in the body of the dress, one at the back bodice (hard to see) and one tiny one in the bottom 1/3rd of the body (also hard to find). They will never be seen when the dress is worn, and you have to search to find them. There are no pit stains or other stains or rips or tears or any other damage to the dress. The underdress has just a couple of pin holes in the straps which will never be seen. The body of the under dress is fine. The sash has a couple of holes one at one end and one mid way. Some black lace appliques could be put over the holes. It is a very long sash with just the two small pea sized damage spots. There is no snap at the back of the neck to do the dress up

From Me:

I admit I'm hesitant to post this one. It is lovely, and the dress looks very 1920's (check out that back!), but there are so many "remakes" out now that it's sometimes hard to tell.
